KCS COVID-19 Business Update May 1, 2020

May 01, 2020

Since our last communication to you on April 7th, KCS has continued to operate based on our business continuity plan, leveraging expert sources such as the CDC and both the US and Mexico governments to guide our decisions.

In our last update we mentioned the Mexican government had initiated new ‘shelter at home’ policies related to certain individuals who may be considered high risk of contracting COVID-19. And, despite the majority of our network being under “shelter in place” ordinances or other restrictions, we’ve been able to offer seamless and uninterrupted rail service to our customers both in the U.S. and in Mexico through strong crew availability in both countries.

We would like to thank our industry rail partners and customers for your collaboration during this time. While we recognize that uncertainty remains, as your states reopen and your businesses resume production and shipping, we ask that you keep us updated along the way to ensure that we are ready to meet your shipping needs facilitating a prompt recovery to your supply chain.

KCS remains fully engaged and committed to all our stakeholders as we continue to work through this pandemic, never losing sight of our vision to be the fastest-growing, best-performing, most customer-focused transportation provider in North America.
