Customer Advisory – Temporary Embargo Issued for Laredo & Brownsville Gateway

CPKC has issued an embargo, effective immediately, impacting southbound intermodal empty containers and certain agricultural commodity traffic destined to Mexico. Permits are applicable.
  
The CPKC Laredo and Brownsville gateways continue normal operations for all other rail traffic. CPKC is working closely with state and federal officials to ensure continued safe and effective operations at both gateways. 

As reference, on Sunday December 17, railway processing operations at Eagle Pass, TX & El Paso, TX were temporarily suspended. Certain embargoes have been issued as a result and can be reviewed in detail at railinc.com.
