Operational performance

Markets – new or notable
CPKC moved 559,995 metric tons of Canadian grain and grain products in Week 12 (October 15-21), slightly more than the previous week.

Heavy rains at the Port of Vancouver delayed the loading of grain onto vessels during Week 12. To maximize performance and throughput all supply chain players need to operate on a 24/7 basis and through different weather conditions.

For the 4-week period ending October 29, 2023, CPKC’s U.S. PNW shuttles averaged a total of 13.1 cycle days or 2.3 turns per month. CPKC’s total U.S. grain cycle times for the 4-week period ending October 29, 2023, was 13.4 total cycle days or 2.3 turns per month.

PNW corn and soybean rates have been adjusted as of January 1, 2024 and November 1, 2023, respectively. Please refer to the publications for details or call your account manager for more information.

Update your bookmarks to the new CPKC website
As part of the ongoing integration of Canadian Pacific (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS), information, tools and other resources from the legacy CP and KCS websites have been moved to the new CPKC website under ”Customer resources” here. Please update your bookmarks and contract records effective immediately.

Effective October 31, users visiting pages in the Pricing and Tariffs section of the legacy CP website will be immediately redirected to the new CPKC website, and the cpr.ca website will no longer be active.

Customer Station and MyKCS portals are not impacted by this change.
